Diy stand level question

Built a stand for my new tank. Prior to setting tank, it was about 1/16" out of level back to front, which I hoped to make up by using extra silicon when I set the plywood top. Well, something must have shifted, either stand or floor, cuz 125 gallons later I'm over 3/16" off back to front.

Stand was build in place, so there's not really any good way to shim up from the underside. Tank is filled with tap water for leak testing now, so here's what I'm thinking....

Once drained, rip a 1.5" x 6' strip of 1/4" plywood and stick it under the front edge of the tank, and cut a 2x from 1/4" to nothing for the sides. Will put me 1/16" off the other way, but I think I can live with that. Thoughts?

Is your stand fastened to either the wall or the floor? If not, I'd just shim underneath it as needed. Although what your are thinking of doing will probably work, the easier route is almost always the better one.

Fastened to both floor and wall. Part of me doesn't even want to worry about it, as the imbalance is fairly even on both sides so theres no twisting. And part of me is a nit picky SOB that wants the dang thing perfect lol

Can you see that its out of level (aka.. the water line is showing on one side under the trim and not the other?

Not once its filled. Too late, I already implemented my fix lol. 1/4" shim full length across the front, standard shims every couple inches on short side. Tanks not full yet so I cant see how close I got, but I'd rather have it leaning slightly back that slightly forward.

Good looking stand. Did you have any sets of plans you went off of? Im thinking on buying one of the sca 150s this week and doing a DIY stand because they dont have a stand with that deal, and im betting i can build a nice stand a whoooole lot cheaper. Really liking the look of your

It looks like it is on top of carpet. If so my guess is the Capet tack strip is what casuse things to change. The carpet compressed less in the back due to the tack strip.

Carpet is cut back so framing is sitting directly on the wood subflooring. The only thing sitting on the carpet is the trim. My guess is just compression, between the framing members and the floor joists.

Thank you. I didnt use any plans per se, basically just framed it up like a load bearing wall with a door header.
