Hey fellow RC'ers,
I wanted to post the latest modification for my system. It is a self-designed top-off system which was built off of a simple toilet float valve.
I bought the valve from Home depot and was able to find one that was completely made of plastic. (unlike what is pictured in the link)
In the right side of my picture you can see I have 3/8" tubing with a shut off valve that feeds the float valve. It supplies fresh water from my RO/DI filter to top-off what evaporates.
The setup if ultra-reliable and even adjustable thanks to the adjustment screw on the toilet valve. I chose to create this setup because as you can see my sump is glass and I'm not confident enough to drill it --which one would need to do in order to use the other types of top-off valves that are out there (The Kent Marine for example)
Hope this helps. I'd be happy to answer any questions people might have.
