Do all anemones split?

They can...they just rarely do in captive systems. They can split into two identical individuals by a process known scientifically as vegetative fission. They can grow huge under the proper care and I know of two specimens that are over 20 years now in captivity. In the wild, their lifespan is not exactly known other than it is at least over 100 years.....unless collected or preyed upon. You can also propagte them by using an extremely sharp blade and cutting them in equal halves thru the oral disc.
