Do clownfish usually do this when added to a tank?

I added two Onyx clownfish at the weekend, both bought from a very reputable LFS. I have a 350 L tank, 6 months old, 1 flame angel, 1 yellow tang and 2 Banggai + various coral.

The pair of clowns immediately swam to within about 30 cm of the powerhead (very strong flow) 10 cm below the surface of the water and have more or less remained there for 48 hours, swimming furiously into the flow.

They pause to take food when it's added (frozen or dry) and then return to the powerhead and carry on swimming like a pair of demons.

Is this normal REMOVED~dc Will they settle down?

From my short experience with clownfish their name suits them very well.

They do the most random stuff. So I would say yes that is normal behavior for a clownfish.

They are very strange acting fish, they will likely settle down, When I added mine, they would sleep right up against the weirs of the overflow almost being sucked against it, I could find them every night there. eventually one was sucked over the edge and then down the main siphon. They are strange fish for sure.
