Do deliveries go straight to your home or do you have to go pick it up at fedex?

Kennyboy1984,

Thank you for your post. All of our Liveaquaria.com orders are delivered directly to your door by Federal Express Standard Overnight Service. We strongly encourage someone to be available at the time of delivery to prevent the aquatic life from being exposed to the elements and extreme temperatures. If it would be more convenient for you we can have the package held at a local Federal Express Facility for customer pickup if you choose.

Thanks! Also if in the event a fish does die during the 15 day period are shipping charges also refunded or just the livestock portion? In this unfortunate scenario does the customer have to ship the dead livestock back to live aquaria as well?

All shipping charges for the deceased fish would be refunded. You never have to return a specimen or send a picture. Packages and pictures of dead fish are not fun. Your word is all we need.

You do not have to purchase from us to call or email for information. We are here to help everyone in the hobby---- regardless of where they purchase their products.

Thank you for considering us,

Kennyboy1984,

Thank you for your post. If a specimen from your order does not arrive alive and stay alive for 14 days, we'll credit your account or refund your money. Shipping and handling costs are a separate service and are generally not refunded, however, if you have specific concerns with your order we ask that you contact us right away. In most cases we would not require the return of expired specimens; however, we do ask that you hold onto the bodies until you speak with one of our representatives.

Just to clear up. If you order one fish and it expires, all shipping charges for that fish are refunded. If an order contains several fish and one dies, we generally do not refund the entire shipping fee. Having said that, we are not a company founded on "terms and conditions" and therefore, we will do what YOU think is fair.
I hope this helps, and again---- thank you for considering us.

If it helps, my experience with LA has been nothing but superlative. Packing and shipping are exceptional but the best thing for me is that the quality of the animal is superlative.

i second what snorvich said---i've ordered from foster/smith many times----they have stood behind what they sell--from livestock to dry goods---my problem with foster/smith is i always order more things then what i set out to order---the more time you spend looking thru there catalog or online--the more things you'll wanna order---go for it---
