Do Euphilia Encrust???

Sorry about the spelling. I am curious though. I have had different torch and hammer corals over the years. I usually just stick them in a hold and putty them in place. They grow well but they don't seem to attach or encrust on the rock. Do they do so in other tanks or in the wild?

Correct. Cement them down good. In the wild or in large enough tanks the colonies just end up getting so big that they form a big heavy strong lattice of skeleton from old branches and heads that split and grew on leaving behind their old skeleton. This usually holds them in place really well even under heavy currents
