Do flukes travel?

I've had a firefish in quarantine for a week now. On his right side there seems to be a slight raised area/bump. Every evening when I come home, the spot seems to have migrated to another location.

I'm thinking its some sort of parasite and I should probably give him a fresh water dip. Tonight the "bump" seems to be moving closer to the gill.

Other than that, the fish looks/acts/eats great.

Any suggestions?

Yes, flukes can move. so can a few other macro parasites such as fish lice (Argulus).

Freshwater dip exactly. Should be first thing you do when you get a new fish anyway.
