Do I have to choose between Lps/softies or sps?

I have had great success with all my Lps and softie corals but my interests are starting to be drawn toward sps. Everything I've read says that Lps corals enjoy a little nutrient rich water compared to sps enjoying perfect water. If I choose to start going sps and make my water cleaner will it cause my Lps to start dying? The only reason I don't yank all the corals is my girlfriend is obsessed with them lol

I have all 3 in my tank, as long as you give them distance between them to prevent chemical warfare, and start with easier SPS you should be OK...IMO

You can have both it is possible to starve LPS in a ULN tank but most people dont run them that clean feeding the LPS will also keep them healthy i have both with great success i had xenia in my sps dominated tank and they lived fine didnt grow much but i was cool with that. feeding with a coral food will also help keep everyone happy.
