Do I Have TOO MANY Fish ????

I am a newbie with a 65 gallon tank. I have sand and Life Rock (infused Purple Rock), and a ESHOPPS RS-75 Reef Sump. I cycled my tank for 7 weeks and then added a cleaning crew
2 Cleaner Shrimp
3 Turbo Snails
5 Reef-Hermit Crabs
3 Nassarius Snails
And then 2 weeks later, I added a Kenyan Tree coral. Weeks later I also added a Toadstool Leather Coral.
I added fish a little bit over 6 weeks and I ended up with the following:
3 Green Chromis
2 Ocellaris Clownfish
1 Yellow Tang
2 Spotted Cardinalfiish
1 Tricolo-Fairy Wrasse
I added their ADULT length and came up with 28". I think I went over the rule of thumb is 1"/5 gallons. I have some concern.. They all have been doing exceptional over the last 2 weeks. Water chemistry had been good but, I am dealing with a small diatomic algae breakout but I think I am getting a handle on it.
BIG QUESTION"¦..
Do I have too many fish ?????
Look at the picture"¦. They look happy, don't they

U r doing great and also the whole inch per gallon thing is a myth trust me I own a tropical fish store I've been doing this for the past 15 years

I don't see a wrasse, but I do see a Royal Gramma.

Only problem I see is the tank may be too small for the yellow tang.

Oh, and GO Eagles!

The 1" per 5g rule doesn't apply because of too many variables that may or may not exist. If no one is fighting that's a start. The yellow tang needs a bigger tank though

I'd keep an eye on the chromis & the clown pair as they can become little bullies.

HEY... THANKS A LOT for everyone's input. I just joined reefcentral and find it useful and maned by some really helpful people.
THanks again,
Thanks for giving me the real name of my fish - Royal Gramma. :)

What would happen if I just left the tang in the tank ?

Fish which are in tanks too small eventually: become more aggressive and/or begin to "pace". Or if the tank is insufficient to provide proper nutrition, they waste away.

Definitely remove the yellow tang, and it would be a good idea to remove 2 chromis. You have some space left to add something once you do that, though.
A yellow tang can get up to 8" long, and they get almost that tall. Too large for a 65g, except if we were dealing with something that just sat all day like maybe a frogfish.

I agree that the tang doesn't belong in that tank, but it will be many years (if ever) till it grows to 8"

even small tangs require considerable swimming room. my YT is currently about 3" long, and it is very apparent that a 4' tank is not large enough to let me stretch.
