Do I need a new anemone?

My anemone (10") was moving around in the tank lately. I guess it wasn't happy about something. We found it on the Mp10 and water was very cloudy and skimmer was going nuts one morning. I didn't want to risk anything took the anemone out. Everything went back to normal, only my saddleback lost its home for 2 years. Should I get him another anemone? A friend of mine has a small RBTA, it would be tiny compared to what we lost. Is it worth the effort?

Thanks

First... and foremost...

If you are going to have any anemone again, and you are using any sort of power head, get and use a screen/protection/filter/cover how ever you want to word it.

As a owner of a few mp40's and a few anemones. They are worth the effort to clean them. I went out and got 20 extras just to have one on stand by incase I don't clean it instantly.

Even if it was on the mp10, there might have been a chance to save it.

Back to your question.

I would get one but you need to evaluate what you could loose if this happens again.

I might have acted too fast to get the anemone out. My MP10 has filter sock, so I don't understand how the anemone can get sucked into it. When I noticed it, it was 6 in the morning and my brain was not much working. The cloudy water and foam coming out of the skimmer was enough to get me scared enough. I have a smaller tank that I could take the anemone to monitor, but it also has some occupants that I like.

The anemone moved before, but never left the sandbed. This time, I guess it wanted to fly.
