I just bought a 40 lb bag of caribsea argonite and i was just wondering if i have to wash or rinse it before i put it in the tank or sump. Its not live, just dry sand.
I didn't. I'm happy. Some say it's more efficient as a sandbed if it keeps the dust in it. But you've got to be ready for a cloudy tank for a week until bacteria grows to bind the particles down.
