Do you consider this as high bioload?

I had 6 blue-legged hermit crabs before. But they killed each other and only 2 left at the moment.

It is very hard to find tricolor blue-legged hermit crabs in my region...

8" is a tiny little naso tang. They get huge.

The bioload isnt bad now, but it will get HUGE with those fish.

Also, is 2x bluelegs all you have for cleanup ccrew? You definitely need more of that, if so.

PS. I love the aquascaping.

Thanks. There are still a lot of improvements to be made before it can keep good colored SPS's. This is a bit out of control at the moment... :(

I keep Naso because I had a Dictyota outbreak and only Naso in my tank consumes Dictyota.
I guess this makes me wonder the `chicken or the egg' sort of situation.

Is the Naso [and others] doing more to help you combat algae or it is adding more to the nutrient load and thus fueling that algae?

IMO, I would imagine that without most of these fish - your tank would clean up just through good skimming/export/husbandry. With these fish - while they might eat the algae - they likely poop out 85% of the nutrients ... to fuel more.

Just my take, I know my tank `cleaned up' from any algae/nutrient problems when I had to remove my fish after adding a new fish that spread Ich. Without those fish - you'll cut feeding, and IMO your skimmer will finally not be combatting nutrient addition in the tank - it will start removing them.

Just a thought - IMO larger fish are best to add after you've started to get the results you want from Acropora ... if colorful Acropora is what's most desired.

Just opinion ... but IMO you have two things that are working against each other here ... and while I've seen folks `get away with it' ... I personally haven't had that great of luck with an under 100g tank of colorful Acropora and high bioload.
Other have ... just my take.

It's still up to you on the naso but even a 3" naso can cruise a tank fast and I'm willing to bet it is cramped. Not to mention they crap a ton.
