do you feed your clams?

does anyone feed their clams DT phyto or basically just light?

You should feed some type of Phyto for bio diversity with or without a clam.

I don't feed my tank phyto for the sole purpose of feeding a clam.

They will get phyto if they like it or not !

When I remember but not less than one time a week.

I like the concentrated phyto they got out now by Liquid life. Doesn't go bad as fast and from what the rep tells me they add bacteria to feed your corals and supplement your other nitrifying bacteria. Not all phyto brands have that. I also like the premium blend of DT's.

Corals/clams do eat bacteria and bacterial congregates/aggregates.

I posed this same question to clam direct when I first got my clam from Gateway. I was told it depends on the size of the clam 3"+ no direct feeding needed less than 3" feed phyto

havent used it about 2 years i have no problem keeping clams
