Do You Give Names To Your Fish? Like...

Just wondering what some of you guys name your fish...
Like I have 11, and their names are:

• Clown: Nemo of course...
• Blue Tang: Princess Dori (drama queen)
• Naso Tang: Girl (she has lipstick, and eye shadow)
• Spiny Back Puffer: Slippers, (because my wife says he looks like her slippers)
• Dogface Puffer: Puppy
• Lamarck's Angel: Larry (the cable guy)
• Yellow eye Tang: Rusty
• Copper banded butterfly: Gregory
• Yellow Tang: Yolk
• Bi-Color Angel: Ukraine (the countries flag)
• Pearlscale Butterfly: Orange tail (need a name for this guy...)

Every fish I have named did not last very long.... So I superstitiously do not name my fish anymore. They get called super original things like the Kole Tang, the Wrasse, the Hamlet, the Boxfish, etc.. I like your names for yours though!

i just brought home a new pair of black clowns,we named the little one Shawty,and the big one Leroy lol.

Funny, the only guy in my tank who has a name is the Sohal tang.
He's called "Osama", cos he's is a mmf from the Red Sea.

I dont name mine, it seems every time I do they die. The closest things I have to names right now are my eels, big gold and little brown because its the only way I can tell them apart.

I had two clowns that I called Doink and Dink
They died, so I got two more and they are Krusty and Bozo

My Hippo is named Jack (because I like Jack Johnson [hockey player], who played for the Michigan Wolverines, which is the Hippo tangs colors)

My chromis is Demitra

Finally my cleaner shrimp are Luigi and Guido!

My son names only the fish he likes.

Flame hawkfish - Darth Maul
Blue Tang - Dory
Ocellaris clowns - merlin and nemo
Emperor Angel - Alexander the great

the other two fish he has not yet named.
Coral beauty and a six line wrasse.

All but one fish I have named has died so I superstitiously don't name them as well.

The one that lived is a clown named Lucky. He's lucky cause I rescued him from a toilet bowl.

I make it a rule that I dont name anything in my tank until they've been in for a month. Unless its a CBB-6 months.

I don't want to get too attached unless I know they'll be sticking around for a while ;p

I can get pretty original, when they are chewing on a $100 coral! Mostly I just use their common names. I'm not sure how to pronounce their Latin names anyway. My wife, on the other hand, calls them something different every time she mentions them, just to aggravate me, I'm sure.

each fish in my tanks have 6 names

i call them mr. purple tang, mr regal angel, mr personifer angel(false) ect.. or i call them their scientific name.

each kid(3) and the wife(1) has a different name for each fish ranging from kids shows character names to the teenager who calls each and every fish daddy's obsession to the wife calling them "your" dads dust collectors because i keep telling her if we got rid of her 30 years of doll collection(dust collection) i could get 5 more 6-8ft tanks..
