Do you know much about the Pygmy Leatherjacket (Australia)?

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has any info or experience with the Pygmy Leatherjacket (Australia)?

I had never seen them before until last weekend when I picked one up from the LFS for only $10!

They look pretty ugly at first but that's what I liked about them... very unique and they just float through the tank like a hummingbird.

And now that I've had him for a week I just think he gets even more interesting... when the lights are off he has a very dark circle pattern and the other day he transformed himself into a totally new shape and was darting through the tank...

He's very friendly, always interacts with you through the glass and whenever I have my hand in the tank for something he comes right up to it like he wants a pat or something...

Anyway, there's not really any info at all on people that keep these guys in their aquarium so if you've had one - let me know your experience!

I briefly, looked into them because I kinda liked their 'ugly' look, but with my limited investigation they were said to be a cooler water species like hula fish.

Since I don't have any tanks in the low 70s and wasn't interested in converting one to those temps I opted to pass.

Is it in a reef? Interesting fish, I had to google it for images. Looks unique for sure.
