Do you need to quarantine coral?

makes you wonder how countries allow anyone from foreign countries in without quarantine...

paranoia can be so healthy.

I have had the nastiest monti nudi infestation for most of this year. The only way my corals have survived is that they grow faster than the monti can eat them.

100%, no. The only person you can 100% trust is yourself, and even then 99.9% is more realistic...

The problem is trusting someone else's process with your current livestock. And the said 'trusted merchant' can easily blame something else on your part rather than accept accountability.
Also "healthy" can be true and ich still be present. They may not stay healthy long term, but you may at least get a healthy fish fir as long as you can keep that fish as low stress as possible...

To me, " a healthy fish that has ich" is an oxymoron.
I had a guest come to my home once and upon leaving she fell on the steps and broke her hip. I filed a claim to cover her bill with my insurance company with whom I had a policy for 25 yrs. Their agent, a young new guy, made the comment to me with a skeptical expression that they get scammed all the time. My thought was, Well damn,I am not one of them, I have paid my premiums on time for 25 yrs and now I want exactly what I paid you for.
I understand the merchants position with regard to mismanagement of a fish by a consumer. No problems there. I am commenting generally.
I'm talking about the guys out there that take perfect care of their wet pets. There should imo be a full expectation that all measures of good husbantry have been followed by the dealer
