Does aggression pass...

Or is it only one shall survive. I have a 3" blue spot grouper and added a 4" powder brown yesterday and the grouper will not leave him alone. Tried putting the tang in an acclimation box and the grouper ignored him. Then today I let him out and it's a constant attack. Anyone have a way I can keep both or does one have to go?

Thanks.

will usually pass, it's just if the new tankmates will survive that long

how big is your tank? I usually try to move rocks around when I add new fish

IMO, a 75 is too small for either of these fish and cramped quarters just increases aggression. Groupers are aggressive fish, some will settle down; but don't expect them to change their genetic make-up.

+2

If said you had them in a 210 with plenty of cover, I'd have said that maybe the aggression would pass. In a 75, the problems will only get worse. Honestly, neither of those fish should be in a tank that small.
