Does any one recommend Milwaukee pH Meter

Milwaukee makes many fine pH products, but I wouldn't buy that meter. I'd want one that at least has 2 point calibration, and that can read to +/- 0.01 pH unit. :)

25 bucks is pretty good, hard to argue with that. Those ph pens need to be calibrated quite often and in my opinion are a pain in the butt, unless you need one for testing multiple tanks. I prefer constant monitoring although these can be pricey. If it's cheap you want, go for the pen. If it's accurate you want, go for a monitor and probe unit.

Thanks for the info ,people but I am still undecided.
I have a 14g biocube reef and a 55g reef and since I had gift certificate burning a whole in my pocket i thought it might be a nice tool.

Nowadays i really do very little testing of any sort unless I notice some changes in my livestock . I have always felt my fish and corals were the best monitor of my system. If they all look happy and healthy i know my parameters are good. if I notice any sign of distress ,that is when i test. Maybe I am crazy but it works for me.
So if I have to calibrate that often maybe I will just stick with the chemical testing.

What would the price range for a desent "constant monitor" be?

pH test kits are not usually a good way to go for reef systems. If you need to buy from that store, this meter is better:

That said, there are two point calibration meters that read to 0.01 pH units that do not cost that much. Pinpoint is a fine brand, as are other Milwaukee and Oakton meters.

I discuss pH meters in these articles:
