Does anyone dose Selcon as a SPS food?

Trying to determine if there is any benefit from using a couple of drops of Selcon daily as coral food rather or in conjunction with AA?

I drop some in with my frozen that I feed daily. Acros go crazy and send out filiments every time I use it. I sometimes put some in the water at night along with aminos. I also use another fish food enhancer with Amino's in it from brightwells that I add to the water sometimes, does the same thing, makes the acros put out filiments.

Thats good to know. I always soak my frozen food for the fish in Selcon but was curious if anyone dropped some in for the corals as a supplement.

I started this week with a couple of drops daily with my Acropower dose.

I wouldn't consider amino acids or vitamins a food for corals. If your intent is to feed corals, give them something with protein.

To clarify, I soak my food in selcon as much as I can remember or have time too. Almost daily. I only use it in the tank when I forget to soak food. I wasn't saying its a substitute to coral food, just saying I get a response from corals when using it in the water. As much as I feed I don't need to feed corals. But I agree I would not use selcon rather than using a coral food. But I don't think using a little in the water every week or so will hurt anything. We use these products to the keep our fish happy, and happy fish that eat well make happy corals that don't need supplimental feedings.

I also have crazy PE from selcon. I started using to help a fish recover from a little battle wound he got from the LFS, someone suggested adding it to my fish foods, to help boost the fishes nutrition, so I gave it a shot, and I noticed right away all my corals reacted to it being in the water. Must be something positive about it. my fish healed up pretty nicely also. I know it's anecdotal but I believe the stuff it great for fish, and corals. I add .5ml to a block of frozen foods or to a pinch of NLS.
