Unfortunately my Nikon Coolpix 5400 developed a lens error a week ago and since I don't have any warranty on it, I feel that I may as well buy a new camera.
I'm currently leaning towards getting the Nikon D40 or D40X, but am open to suggestions around the D40X price range.
If anyone uses the D40 or D40X, please post some sample reef or fish pics so I can get an idea of what the camera is capable of.
