I am going to try and raise the clownfish eggs and was wondering if anyone is growing rotifers locally. If not ill try and raise my own if they lay eggs again.

Thanks.

Theres a guy on here that posts in the Richmond and SW VA forums every once in a while that breeds clownfish. I can't think of his name though . . . he cultures rotifers and other stuff to feed the babies. If someone can think of the name, you could contact him about getting some rotifers.

Thanks guys I woke up this am and did not see any of the fry, either they hatched or the anemone is covering them. Im guessing they will lay again, so I will try to be prepared next time. Does anyone know if they have to have the moonlight to breed? It seems like after I got the hang on back refuge from ade with the pc light going at night they might think its the moonlight and this is the second time they have laid eggs.

heterodonut is his name

You may want to send him a PM. He's in the Hampton Roads/Norfolk area. He came up to a meet in Richmond, brought some fish and about a dozen two liters of rots. He made a delivery to a LFS before coming to the meet and said they were griping a bit. So I'd try a PM, he may ship you some. Super nice guy, wish I could remember his name though.

He didn't say which one it was, but I guess they had issues with him selling direct to the club at such low prices. He said that he probably wouldn't post openly anymore.
