Does anyone make sumps?

I am going to move all of my plumbing to the basement to help with heat and noise. I can do the electric and plumbing myself but I do not think I can take the amiracle sump I have out of the stand because I would have to take the stand apart. So I would like to have someone build a 30 g sump for me I would be happy to pay I would also like to have a Frag tank setup next to it.

i personally would just buy a 30g breeder and silicone in some baffles. Or, if you stop at trade fair hardware in amityville you can buy a polyethylene tank. That makes it easier to drill holes in it for return pump and the such. I'm using a 15g aga for my frag tank, cheap and easy.

hmm I guess I could try my hand at making one....Should I hard plumb or use that flex PVC? I was going to put pics up and a diagram of what I wanted to do but I figure I bug you guys enough LOL.

That is the way I would go if you're relocating your sump to the basement.
Make sure you have a pump strong enough to handle the head pressure.

You should build an acrylic sump. You can design it to your exact dimensions and it really isn't that difficult. I wanted a sump that was not very large to fit in my 50 gallon stand and could not find one with a refugium and that was as narrow as I needed. I ordered up the acrylic and bonding solvent and went to work. Had never worked with acrylic before but even without any practice, a week later I had a sump that didn't leak.

Thats a sweet sump for your first attempt at acrylic work. What did you use to cute the acrylic with router or table saw?

That was the great thing, the places that sell acrylic seem to all cut it for free. So I just sent them the dimensions of the pieces I wanted and it all came cut. When I got it, I used a paint scraper to smooth the edges and remove the saw marks. As far as the teeth on the baffle, I just used a dremel...looks good from a distance.
