Does anyone own a rainbow bubble tip anemone?

I think you have to take into account that most of the "fantastic" pics in this thread are taken of deflated anemones under actinic lights. Almost any BTA looks amazing when deflated under actinic lights. Show me one that is amazing when fully inflated under normal lights and I will be impressed.
Vipers pic is pretty representative of the actual anemone, the others, not so much.

I don't need a good photo of a picasso painting to know its true value. Taking a good, representative photo is no easy job.

The difference is that these anemones aren't one of a kind and not all "rainbows", "lemons", etc. look the same, even under the same lighting. Can't always take everybody's word for it, right?

It's not always about trying to take a good representative photo for the photographer though. For example, it's obvious that the Sexycoral's anemone posted was deliberately taken to misrepresent the anemone since the anemone is deflated and the white balance way off, saturation turned up, and/or the picture was taken under blue lights. Same with a couple other photos in this thread. I just hope sexycorals didn't try to sell the anemone using that picture alone, as the buyer would have been very dissappointed. I'm sure all the anemones in this thread are beautiful, but perhaps not as unique as the photos show. Just saying :)

The anemone shown in your recent pictures is very nice, and probably very similar, if not the same, as one I got not that long ago. I wouldn't have thought so based on the first picture you posted. Here's a picture of it from a couple days ago. I included the rose (with one of my little chrysos) just to compare the color.

It used to be a bit more yellow and bubbly when I first got it.

Great pictures, are these top down? I think most people will agree the SC photo is enhanced. I think it is 2 diff morphs. I would hope if your BTA is yellow or purple tips... that the photo should be representative.

Thanks and yes they're all top-down shots. Too lazy to clean the sides haha. The picture is a little washed out, but the colors are pretty close. They look more vibrant in person. Been waiting on my friend to come over with his DSLR but all I've got is my little point and shoot. Here's a few more pictures I just took with my pair of chrysos.

I just block the light from reflecting off the surface with my hand, and yea I turn all of the pumps off.

How do you take pic and not get reflection from lights above? Do you turn pumps off?

You can use a photo or viewing box (acrylic box with black sides and clear bottom). It takes away the surface disturbance and if used at the proper angle, eliminates the reflection of the lights.

Sweet, luv the red base. Looks like it may be starved of light?

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. With strong lighting and good healthy conditions the color will probably get to be more of a solid yellow over time. Just guessing.

I got two rainbows. Had one then split. It is orange/red with green base and white specs all over. I will take a picture tomorrow. Lights are off now :(

What is considered a rainbow BTA exactly? I took a break from the hobby so rainbows and lemons are new to me, though I've known of flame BTAs from way back.

The rose I have pictured in my last few pictures is pink with a green base and white specks all over as well. As with most RBTAs IME, the green comes and goes day by day.
