Does anyone seen this jawfish?

It's not blue spotted jawfish and yellowhead jawfish.I seen it in youtube. Does anyone seen this jawfish? There is a greenspot in its black fin.It have some blue spoted in tail. Did someone seen it in any fishshop? Thnks!

Thank you Michael. Do you mean that it is a common blue spotted jawfish? Does the blue spotted jawfish will change color to white in spawning coloration? Do You mean that I could distinguish male or female only in spawning? Could blue spot jawfish change its sex? :eek1:

It use to be rare. But now has become a regular import in my country also. Yesterday one of my LFS just brought in more than 10 pieces of blue spotted jawfish.

Yes,It remain rare now. It seem that it is season fish. Do you know how to distinguish male or female before the color change?

Sorry i've seen many blue spotted jawfish but never ever able to distinguish between male and female.

They arent rare. I see them all the time in LFS in San Diego.

Here in the mid-west, we don't see them all that much.

Rarity in your are is relative. They are collected not far from San Diego in the Sea of Cortez.

Very true. They are hard to keep without a chiller(in my experience).
