I use a macbook pro, iPhone & windows 8.1 laptop. I have a Gen 1, Gen 2 and Pros running in my system. ESL works with all of them. I use safari to access the lights along with the iOS program that runs through the reef link.
The software is pretty stable at this point. If you have an issue I would just email or call Support and they can look at it. They have top rate customer support. I would try them first. If you are outside normal hours and the lights are giving you trouble and not working you should reset them to factory.
