Does Ecosmartlives support Gen1 lights?

life gets better daily
Can I customize my program using Ecosmartlive? When have Gen1"¦.went to change programs last night and had 2 issues.
1. could not correct time even after follow support step by step instructions
2. could not customize each point with color and intensity.

WHY?
 
Bc The software and website have major issues for starters.Ask an Ecotech rep and you'll get the "we're working on it" or "Really? Well i'll pass that along to engineering" lines. They've been "working on it" for over TWO YEARS!!!
yes Gen 1 is supported. If possible Use a Mac computer running Goggle Chrome or Safari. At the very least use one of those 2 browsers.
Be VERY patient and just keep trying.
If all else fails Call tech support. I am bitter But i have to admit They can fix MOST issues for you over he phone.
 
We love the lights but the programming is always an issue….. we are running safari….maybe I will move the mac and try again today
 
Ecosmart Live works perfect on my Mac using Safari browser. I did have some issues with Firefox re: setting the time but it works fine in Safari.
 
Logged on with the Mac and made changes. Will try to update with the laptop and see what happens.
 
I use a macbook pro, iPhone & windows 8.1 laptop. I have a Gen 1, Gen 2 and Pros running in my system. ESL works with all of them. I use safari to access the lights along with the iOS program that runs through the reef link.

The software is pretty stable at this point. If you have an issue I would just email or call Support and they can look at it. They have top rate customer support. I would try them first. If you are outside normal hours and the lights are giving you trouble and not working you should reset them to factory.
 
All set with program however time is still off. I have had these lights since they first came out.

Please follow these steps to correct the issue:

1. Disconnect via USB and power down all lights for at least 30 seconds
2. Log in to EcoSmart Live using Google Chrome or Safari
3. Select the “Settings” then “New Profile” and “Yes”
4. Log out of EcoSmart Live
5. Start the Connection Manager and connect via USB to one Radion
6. Right click the connection manager icon select “USB Radion” then “Factory Reset” and “Yes”
7. Repeat step 6 for each light
8. Log in to EcoSmart Live and program your lights using the Aquarium Setup
9. Click in the clock field then Select "Automatic" and "Set"
10. Select the “Program All” button to save all changes
