Does hippo tang eat clownfish?

Hi

I have a pair of maroon clown fish, the male is only 1 inch or so.

I am not sure if I can put in a 7 inch hippo tang in the tank with it.

Will it eat it?

Thanks

I just had to remove my new 1" percula, because my 3.5" Yellow Tang was trying to eat it. I also feed my tank live food quite often, though. Young FW minnows and small FW shrimp. This may have conditioned my Yellow Tang to look at smaller fish as a meal. I honestly don't know. A 7" Hippo would have no problem ripping a 1" clown to pieces. If you do mix them, you should probably keep a close eye on them for a while.

My female Ocellaris chases my 5" hippo all the way across the tank if it gets too close to her Anemone. I've found that Tangs and Clowns generally get along great though. The problem is if a 7" Tang decides to bite a 1" Clown its not going to be pretty. I'd try it though..
