Does music promote growth?

In Memoriam
Usually when I'm home I turn the music on really loud with a lot of bass.

I'm just wondering if all those vibrations promote growth or anything.
Because I notice the polyps don't seem to react as much with all the sounds going on. I mean they don't retract when I tap the glass, they used to before. Have they become completely immune to the vibrations? Maybe it's their way of receiving a head to toe massage.

On a side note, it's fun to watch the fish dance around while you play your favorite tracks.

In reality, there are probably tons of earthquakes and typhoons that occur.

I've heard that music can increase growth rates of terrestrial plants. How do we know that it doesn't affect coral growth?

Why is that though? Is it because of the vibrations?

I know it does affect plants, but corals are constituted as plants too right?

Funny, my corals don't respond well to hardcore/underground hip hop. I guess I should just leave Kenny G. on instead.

My corals love hip hop, house music, and funky breaks... at least they better, because that's what they've been listening to.

Not sure what music does or which music is better.
If it's Country? That music would not work out for increasing coral growth in my fish basement. I'd probably end up taking out my tank with one of the hammers I'd throw across the room trying to kill the cd-player.

i blast music all the time, i think my fish likes it... or maybe he is trying to jump out of the tank lol... i dont think it will effect corals though.

Music does encourage coral growth. When I listen to music, I feel better about doing water changes and as we know, water change = better tank, which also means better growth.
