Does this Sebae look healthy?

Does this Sebae look pretty healthy? I found it on live aquaria, hope it's healthy, It'll be here tomorrow.

It just came about 15 minutes ago. It looks really good. I'm leaving work at 12 and will start drip acclimating at about 12:30. Does 3 hours sound long enough?

I made a semi-circle out of some rocks last night and filled it in with about 4" of oolite sand, hope it likes the spot I picked out.

What is the rule on putting anenomes in the sand, does the foort attatch to the sand or will it makes its way to the glass?

Depends on the species. Some like the sand and some like the rock. Some, like the sebae like both. It's up to the individual anemone.

It looks more like a long tenticle to me. I thought sebaes had much shorter tenticles.

As for the placement, I wish you luck. Any anemone I've dealt with, I wanted it to go in a certain spot and they alway seem to want to cruise to a different location.

I kow, but I always try to put them where I want. It's in but has not attached yet. It is staying on that spot for now. I turned off the koralia on that side of the tank and shut down the halides till it get's comfortable. We'll see.

It looks very much like H. crispa, in nature their tentacles are long. Also, LTA's don't have a tentacle number count nearly as high as the one in the picture. The spot you have planned for the anemone looks good. Some people make a depression in the sand and then when the anemone digs in and attaches to the bottom of the tank, they push the sand in around the column.

I had to go out for a few hours after placing the anemone in the tank, figures. Here is a shot with lights off just a flash. It hasn't moved but it still hasn't attached either. Can't wait till I get home from work tomorrow to see it in the light.

Very nice to see H. crispa complete with zooxanthellae. So often they're bleached in lfs. How large does your anemone measure across its tentacles?
