I was wondering does your fish know when they are full? I know back than in fresh water I was told not to overfeed because they would eat and eat until their stomach gives. So does your fish know when its full?
I've wondered that about our yellow canary wrasse. He eats and hunts non stop. His stomach seriously bulges after we feed the tank and he's still looking for more. Just tonight I said I thought he must be part goldfish!
I think that they will over eat just like humans.....when their feeding behavior slows down stop feeding them. Feed three times a day as much as they can eat in three minutes and you will be fine..............................................................................!
Well, I think that fish will sometimes realize when they have had enough. I had ich quite recently and everyone told me that the fish would make it as long as they are eating. So I fed them WELL! But after 3 - 5mins they start to "loose interest" in the food and the food just drops to the bottom. They just swim past the sinking food. I don't know, maybe my fish just got manners
