Dog Face Puffer

I have been looking for a Dog Face Puffer for a while to add to my 180 gallon semi aggressive tank. I finally found one that is beautiful and healthy. It's the healthiest one I've ever seen. It was eating in the store and even when I brought it home a few days ago. Today it wouldn't eat at all. If it was just that I wouldn't be alarmed at all. This afternoon and evening it's been laying on the rocks at the bottom of the tank. It looks fine still and healthy but it's laying down. It still gets up and swims around and then goes back to laying down. I've googled and WWM'd and everything I can think of and can't find any information. Does anyone know if this is normal? Is there something wrong?

Thanks

Sounds like my porcupine, That is completely normal behavior, once they get comfortable with their surroundings, they tend to become lazy. Both my puffers do that.

Yeah, as limitedslip said, they can be very lazy fish. I have 4 of them, and most of the day the sit around the tank, and only do much swimming around feeding time. I wouldn't worry about his behavior.

my dogface likes to "park" hell come see you and swim around but if you feed him he gets lazy and parks, then wont really acknowledge you untill he feels like moving again
