Corals to donate or return

Corals to donate or return

I have been contacted by several people about returning or donating corals.

You are always welcome to bring them to the meeting to save you an extra trip delivering them.

If you will not be able to make a meeting, feel free to PM me and we will make arrangements.

If you need help fragging a coral to donate, let me know and we will for sure get that taken care of.

Receiving Corals from the program

Receiving Corals from the program

As in past months, I will be posting pictures in this thread each day of corals available to borrow from the donor program--- Nothing has changed. To receive coral(s) you need to:

-- be a paid 2010 Comas member;

-- have a stable tank set up with lighting to handle the coral you are requesting;

-- be willing to return a frag of every coral you receive once it has grown enough to frag;

-- return all corals to the frag program you have received if you break down your tank.

Any Questions? Did I leave anything out?

I will start posting pics later today or tomorrow morning. Look forward to seeing all of you at the big show on saturday.

Monday pics

Monday pics

Lots of things to pick from this month, but I thought I'd stick today with pics of corals anybody can grow regardless of lighting-- pc, t5, or mh. The pics for tues thru the rest of the week will require T5 or MH.

Please read the previous post on requirements for requesting donor corals.

I'll be listing 6 corals today that will grow with any lighting:

Thanks Cory,

I do have fun with the tank. I've waited to put these up until they settled in and began to encrust to make sure they wouldn't just up and die.

It is obvious, however, I will one of those benefiting from the discussion on photography on Saturday night. At least I hope I benefit. :eek1:

Looking forward to seeing a BUNCH of you all there..... :wave:

those frags look very happy! you're doing a great job with them Lynn!

BTW,

I blew both pics on the pavona's

The green, I guess was flash, it is a prettier green.

The purple is about that color--- IT is REALLY pretty, but the white dots are green. You should really look at a frag of this coral if you have T5 or MH or LED lighting.

Donor Program thanks

Donor Program thanks

In the process of dipping corals and wanted express thanks to 3 guys from the Donor program:

Doug (reefhappy) for donating all the sps that went out tonight;

Richard (Stealth9lrt) and Alan (InsideJoke) for bringing in over 15 corals between for the program tonight. Some were returns of corals they had been donated, some were just gifts to the program.

Thanks to you all.

so in the process of unbagging corals, someone came out to meet me. An Emerald Crab. He came to my house to visit. If you want him back i'll tell him he needs to pack his bags. otherwise, he's already into grooming a patch of algae.

I will miss that guy. He did wonders in the tank, but if he has found a good home and didn't scare you to bad in the unpacking..... welcome him home.

I really did have to read this twice and laughed out loud. Congrats on the bonus. And thanks for letting me know so I didn't think he went to wherever crabs go.......

Lynn
