Yikes, I guess Rochester Petco's aren't the only ones that practically give stuff away. I have heard some stories, I talked to someone who got a Christmas tree rock for the price of live rock! Ended up paying like $3.50!!!

Is this the same tank that you want to get a Mandarin for? Given how big M doreensis get, and the size of your tank, I have a strong feeling you won't have the Mandarin for very long.

Well, given the size of your tank, the size that LTAs will get, and a Mandarin's eating/swimming habits, I would expect it to get eaten by the LTA.

Some believe that their slime coat helps with preventing them from getting ick, but it will do nothing to stop them from getting eaten/stung from an anemone.

Granted a Haddoni has a stronger sting then an LTA, but one of the 2 fish that I have ever lost to mine was a Mandarin.
