Is there anything i need to make sure i dont do that could cause a catastrophic failure?

I'm sure you are smart enough to prevent it! But here are some to do(s) just in case:
1. Make sure your doser is mounted higher than your dosing containers and water line of your sump. This prevents siphon and gravity feed.
2. Calibrate the doser by watching the youtube instructions ( PM me if you need help).
3. Run testing by using water for a day or so and make it output to a measuring cup(s).
One cool feature is that if you are use to dumping 50ml of ALK at once into your tank per day, you can now tell it to run 10ml 5 times, or 25ml 2 times. You'll figure this out yourself.
