I Just bought:
GHL ProfiLux Plus II EX Professional
GHL Profilux dosing pump (2)

And i plan on setting up my tank in about a month.

If i intend to use the dosing pumps to dose two part solution, can the controller control the pumps to dose "by volume" as opposed to by time? just figured that would help me a bit.

You can dose in a 1s-time-resolution. That means the minimum dosing amount is 1ml.
Is a smaller amount really needed?
The motor speed can't be reduced. If we would operate the motors at a lower voltage to reduce the speed we could not guarantee that the motor starts reliable with any liquid.

1. yes, you can use 2x 4fold stations
2. they dose in ml or are time controlled - just how you like it. The flow rate which is used to calculate the on-time can be corrected if necessary.
3. Min dosing is 1s = appr. 1ml, max dosing is appr. 40l
4. further details are in the manual, section "dosing pumps":

kind of answered my own question there, but one step further.
if there starts to be a PH deviation, can the controler shut off both dosing pumps, effectively stopping the addition of Two part (i would think so, but i gotta ask)

sweet! next Step, two part: calcium and alkalinity, need to be "shaken vigorously" before dosing, would you guys put a tiny powerhead in there and time it to turn on just before dosing or what?

Have you thought about starting the balling method of dosing for calcium and minerals?

GHL and fauna marin have a tie up to offer this system to all. You would require an extra dosing pump to your GHL dosing station but our dealers can sort you out a starter kit with no trouble
