ok...not really. More like a small dose of carelessness on my part.

I dont think I let him deflate quite enough before moving him 4 feet from one tank to another. I just did this 30 minutes ago. He has 3 tentacles that are still standing very erect, as in straight up with apparent air in about 50% of the length of the tentacle. Ive never seen this before

My first inclination is to do nothing and just let it be as its probably nothing. good plan?? It certainly doesnt look very comfortable for him as they have enough upwards pull that I can see the pressure in the top of his foot some. Ive never seen this before and after I first saw it I didnt expect it to last this long, so I just thought I would ask you nem guys what you think before I walk away for a few hours.

If you see your anemone getting a erection lasting longer than 30 minutes should you offer assistance??

ok...i used the search tool and came up with everything from leave it to squeeze the air out to cut the tips off to release the air.

Im assuming its no big deal and any of the above will have the same result in a healthy nem.

Under my circumstances of just returning him to the tank, and kind of wanting him to be comfortable and stay put, I am inclined to cut the tips off with a clean sharp pair of scissors.

normally I think I would want to just let it be, but I just got him well attached where he is in the first place and I want him comfy

thoughts?

I cut one a few weekends ago and two of the tentacles ended up with air in them. I only noticed because it was floating and the rest sank. By the next day it had attached to the side of the container it was in and looked normal. I would just leave it alone too.

Back in the day I collected them from the keys. It was pretty common for this to happen by the time I got them home and in the tank. I used a hypodermic needle to remove the bubbles. They always seemed to do fine once the air bubbles stoped stretching them out.
How's the anemone doing now?

Hes good EC. :)

Back in, cozy and reunited.

Funny thing ws is the clowns who had been apart from him for weeks pretty much instantly left the favia they were in and returned to him.......then when I got up the next day both of them were in a duncan I have never even seen them look at, and stayed there for over a day. Had me worried for a bit : )
