Dosing container

So I have a brs 1.1ml doser on the way I intend to use for dosing Kent Tech B. (Alk supplement) Does anyone see any issue with using a pure leaf tea bottle for a dosing container?

I have a square theme to my tank and really like the look of the bottles and currently use one as an overflow for my skimmer cup. I know generally if it's food grade it's safe for the tank but in this case it will hold a chemical. I just wan't to make sure this type of plastic will hold up to it and not break down or leach anything.

The worst case is that the plastic will become brittle over time. I'd check it now and then, maybe once a week for a few weeks, and then maybe once a month or so. Does it have a recycling number on it?

I kinda thought that may be the outcome but wasn't sure.
It has a triangle on the bottom with a 1 in it and PETE under it.

I use the square VOS plastic water bottles for dosing alk and cal. The only problem with them is they aren't heavy when empty.

I think it'll be fine, but I'd check it every other month or so. As with a wide range of products, it'll decay over time.

I've only seen the glass round ones, a lot of people seem to like those though.

I'll just have to work it into the maintenance routine.

Thanks for the help guys, supposed to be here tomorrow.
