Dosing limit

Matthias,
Does the Profilux have a limit that the dosing pumps can do per day? I would like to change out 9g of water today. I put in 34068ml (9 gallons) x 1 time per day and it gives me an error message about connecting to the Profilux.

I know others are doing 2 g daily water changes but I would rather have mine (at least now) do a 9g water change today.

1000ml is the maximum ->1000ml / 60ml/min = 16.6minutes.
A pump should not run more than about 15 minutes in one cycle. After running 15 minutes the pump should have a pause of at least 15 minutes, this is better for the lifetime (otherwise overheating possible).

Maximum you can put in per day: 24 x 1000ml. Or use 2 pumps: 24 x 2000ml.

Thanks Matthias. I was unaware that the pumps could not run for more than 1000 ml per shot. Looks like I'll have to do a daily water change of a few 1000ml instead of a weekly 9g change.

This is more beneficial for your enviroment anyway, less shock to the system

True, but it means that I need to monitor a 10g container, and somehow setup my ato on a timer instead of always on.
