I hav been dosing pickling like every 1-2 weeks for over 3 years now, recently I read that some people are using baking soda to keep the alk up. I tested the water today after I bought a new test kit and it measured roughly 7 dkh. So I was going to use baking soda to raise it. What do others feel on dosing there tank with these two.

I've found precipitation events get a bit more likely; I've really had to decide that my tank seems to like it right at about 7.5 or so and just leave it.

Baking soda is fine for supplementing alkalinity. It leaves the pH largely unchanged. If you want a bit of a pH boost, baked baking soda is higher in pH.

I dosed the baked baking soda earlier today and my corals looked 10x better O I will test the alk tomorrow and see where it's at.

Okay, that sounds like good progress! Daily alkalinity tests for a while should help you get a good trend line for consumption. Testing at the same time each day makes the estimate more accurate.
