Dosing options....Can i control a pump to run for less than 1 minute?

If i want to dose some additives (i.e. 2-part, vodka, etc.) and the dosing pump i have can only dose at a minimum of 1.1ml/minute what are my options if i want to dose less than 1.1ml at a time? Can the AC3 be set to run at intervals less than 1 second? Does anyone else here use their AC3 to control their dosing pumps? Or will i need to dilute whatever i am dosing with RO/DI water so i can run for longer intervals?

The smalles interval of control for the AC3 is 1 minute; the Apex is 1 second. On the Ac3 there is a number if DIY solutions for smaller amounts of time but nothing built-in.

Thanks Ken. Any links to the DIY solutions? Or any suggestions to what i should search for? Searching is kinda limited right now....

Very interesting. So just to make sure i'm clear on how you set it up. Spliced a wire plugged into an outlet on your DC8 and connected the wire to the timer module (at the +/- on the terminals). You programmed the little timer to 10 seconds. Then you wired an AC pump up to the timer as normally open. Then you programmed the AC3 to energize that outlet on the DC8 for 1 minute. During that minute, the timer automatically runs for 10 seconds and stops. Then 50 seconds later, the AC3 cuts off power and the entire process can be repeated as necessary.

I suppose this same timer can be used to run an auto-feeder too eh?

Exactly! I did nearly the same except in my case the transformer for the cleaner was the same voltage as the timer card so I plugged the xformer into the DC8 and wired through the timer card to the cleaner (but same in principal).

Typhon, if you use the suggestion that Ken gave you in your other thread then the on time of 01:00 can be changed to 00:45. This would be 45 seconds. It is the second parameter of the OSC statement.

Oh.. yeah. :D

wwanthony..Thanks
