Dosing pumps and monitors.

I'm looking at getting two BRS pumps to dose 2 part, using timers to control them. Maybe get an RKE or RKL later. Maybe.

Also looking at the Bubble Magus Dosing pump.

Video at BRS seems to badmouth the "hobby pump", ie the Bubble Magus, but they do sell them.

Any issues with the Bubble Magus in the long term??

Thanks!

Besides the expected potential failure of electronics, I would see none really. The BRS pumps are alot more simple, just on/off, but you do need to control them somehow. Anything can fail.

I use 2 BRS drews pumps. Were I to do it agian, Id still probably go with 2 separate drew stye pumps, it is just cheaper. The 3rd doser is not really needed on the BM, at least for Magnesium, since it is added so infrequently. A simple time would control them cheaply enough

Many people dose things other than Mg with their third dosing head. Although admittedly I do not use the 3rd head for anything.

I've been using the Bubble Magus T01 for about a year without a single issue. It's easy to program and has been extremely accurate. Once you get your dosing amounts dialed in, it is basically a set it and forget it piece of equipment.

Yes, some do....most don't. If I had 6 dosing heads, I can think of 6 things Id liek to dose. But reality sets in :), and I tell myslef I should do other maintenance before i worry about trace elements.

Thanks for the input, all.

The BRS pumps are on sale. 2 pumps plus 2 timers from any HD would be under $200. BM dosing system is $300. For an el-cheapo guy like me, I might go for the cheaper, and throw in one of those clear containers.
