Been a few weeks I just haven't had time to upload the additional pictures of the completed granite work. With getting married Saturday my world has been a busy to say the least. Anyway just one more completion. And now moving forward with the building of the doors for the lower cabinet and canopy.

Doug...that thing is "Knock out Beautiful" and...CONGRATULATIONS on the Wedding...I'm nott sure who did the best..You or Susan....I think you are both lucky to have found each other...and I know one thing...Somebody got a good cook! BTW...I ate a burger at Sam's tonight and saw him and Brenda (PS..Just between you and me...You did better than Sam did!!)

Hey Mike, thanks for the compliments. The tank tanks a life of it own at it own pace it seems. I am getting there.
How is Susan's brother doing? And yes, I am lucky and Susan is a great cook.. So you just went in for a burger and didn't bowl.

Hey Doug.... It was very nice to meet you at CRASE and I can't thank you enough for the AWSOME FRAGS! I wish we had more time to visit before making the trip back to Arkansas, maybe next year. Your entire setup is very nice and you have some excellent pieces. If you're ever headed to the NWA area, let me know.

Thanks Ray, for visiting the build thread and the kind words. Nice meeting you at crase. So glad I had some frags you were looking for. Do you have some nice LFS in your area?

We have Worlds Under Water locally, and I like Planet Coral in Missourri. I'm always up for a trip to Oddballs.... going to stop there again tommorrow just because we'll be in Tulsa for the Tom Petty concert.

that artificial rock structure is really well made. really makes the tank pop

Thanks. It was alot of work, but really did work out well. More wall space to actually place corals on.

How was the concert Ray?

The granite work looks fantastic.

Thanks. I thought it added alot to the total look of the tank and cabinet work.

LED fixtures came in yesterday. The two Reefbrite fixtures are 48". I am ordering the tubing to build light rack. That will all come together after I get back from honeymoon Cabo trip next week.

I have all the oak rail and stile material and oak materials to make doors for cabinet and canopy. I have always done flat panel doors on cabinet work. This time I have decided to go with the large ogee style raised panel doors. Again this will all begin when we get back next week from honeymoon.

Another picture. This show the front that will lift with the top. Easy access into the tank from the top and front. I will post more pics later on.

Tom Petty was great! I'm officially feeling old now as I’ve seen him 3 times... once a decade :} Honeymooning in Cabo... how awesome is that?
<O:p</O:p
I'd like to hear your opinion on those reefbrites. I have been considering a royal blue strip to use as supplemental lighting (not ready to go full led). I'm still not sure if they will get washed out by my MH's or provide that extra 'pop' in coral color that I'm looking for.

I do not have the led's mounted yet but just setting in canopy about 6" off of water surface. And I must say they do give coral the pop factor!! And I am using them as supplemental lighting... So far I am pleased. They are pricey.

Been working this week on finishing out the doors for the canopy and stand. Everything is cut sanded and ready for stain.

First 3 pics are the router cuts on rails, stiles and panels.
