Doug's 90g (formerly 50g) sps reef

Corals look great. How are you adding Alk/ca? If two part which brand of two part? Do you dose any additives?

Sorry I missed this. Im using Bulk Reef Supplies bulk additives. I have a Proflix doser but still doing it by hand.
Im also using Prodibio, including reef booster and also some Red Sea products.
My 6g Tunze top off tub with an osmolator, also has the Tunze kalk reactor in it, which I add a couple spoons every few days.

Doug, thanks for the info. Sorry for the further question, but what RedSea products are you dosing? Thanks. Your getting great results. Keep up the good work. :)

Time to edit this thread, as my reef is about to move into its new 90g home. Its a standard 90 gallon all glass type. Not drilled however as Im doing that myself.

This the BA type overflow I did. Still have to do the overflow walls which will be 10mm glass cover by 6mm black acrylic.

My sump is as large as my tank. But it has a 10g fresh water portion on one end and Im going to use a section as a quarantine and split the large one into a refugium and the other portion the return pump section.

Last pic shows my new SWC Extreme cone skimmer I found on a stores back shelf. :)

Sump stand built for me by a good friend

Overflow & bottom finished. Now awaits water.

I ordered a CR6 12 calcium reactor from George. :) Was planning on dosing but changed my mind

Sump in its final home. Just working on plumbing. I have to go 1ft. vertical on the drain pipes to enter the sump. Hopefully that will still work well. Its still below the bottom of the tank. :hmm2:

Overflow that was a hair to high is removed.

No I never had to much wine. :spin2: They are exactly where pipes go through.

New acrylic, with slotted teeth, has been siliconed to new overflow glass and drying. As I now have good overflow top clearance, I have upped my flow from 900 gph to close to 1300 gph. with aa new Eheim 5000.

Nice expansion.
You were doing things right in your smaller set up.
Looking forward to seeing the new tank take shape.
