Downtown Pets Frag Swap

Guys im picking up a blue spot jawfish on either monday or tuesday and need to cover my tank completely in case he decides to jump. Does anyone have some sort of loose netting that can bring it to the swap? i have a glass top but its missing the rear 3 inches(where the plastic usually sits). I have eggcrate but i believe the holes are too big on it. If someone has netting or some eggcrate that has small holes please bring it to the swap.

guys unfortunately i will not be able to bring any of my frags :( i had to work a rediculus 84 hours this week and was unable to get to fragging them...i hope everyone understands and i will see you all tomorrow

Jose, I've got what you need. The nylon screening I used to acclimate my corals from the T5s, should work. I've got a couple of different pieces--what size do you need?

Jenni i need a piece thats maybe 4" by at least 30" or if you have two smaller pieces im sure i could put it together somehow. Just dont want the little guy going carpet surfing while im not home. I will probably pick up some rubble as well so he can build a den.

dohc97,

Those pics are all of either a) the original frags that went into my tank b) the mother colony or c) representitive frags. Most are taken camera flash on, 15K or 20K bulbs, no actinics. I try to take pics from above if I can since it yields a truer color IMO.

Ill see you at the swap then, since Juan is interested in the dragon eye zoas, how much is a frag of those?

Just picked up some real good beer (La Fin Du Monde, Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPS, Same Smith Oatmeal Stout, a Rasberry Lambic, and a nice German Dark Bier). Will be bringing tasting cups. First come, first served :-)

Good stuff, I want the Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout. Looking forward to meeting some fellow reefers. Heading out soon....

Thanks everyone for coming out. It was a great time. A special thanks to Adam, Pat, Mark, John, and Eric for their generosity! We will be planning for another one in the near future...

Thanks so much guys, good time had by all (well almost all :hmm4: ) !

Adam, Mia and Eric, you guys were great hosts. I look forward to see what you all do with the store as it progresses.

For folks that didnt venture downtown, you missed out on some cool stuff!

Nice to put some faces to names. Got some good stuff, sold some good stuff and drank some beer. All around, a great day!

Thank you to Mia, Adam and Eric having us!

Appologies to dohc97 for forgetting your pumpkin zoas!

I thought you wanted the purple monti cap (undata)? Either way, I forgot that along with the zoas. I was a bonehead leaving the house!
Jose is coming over when he gets time to pick them up.

Meissen, How long does it take for that Tyree Alien Eye to color up? Mine is really dark maroon w/a little dark green. Will it get that bright pink & green like your pic & the pics on the Tyree website?

Yep, it should go from maroon to more purple and the eyes will brighten up when the coral settles in over the next few weeks. As I said, it seems to look a little different depending on the lighting....I dont think you will ever see pink though, thats a different variety (watermelon).

What kind of lights do you have btw?

I have 6 48" T5 bulbs on my 90g tank. I'm a bit confused on the name though. I looked on the Tyree website (Reef Farmers) & they call it a "Watermelon Alien Eye Echinophyllia". Also, you showed me a pic of a bright pink w/green rim Enchino & said that was the coral I was buying.
