Downtown Pets Frag Swap

I will definitely be there. Was just there and picked up some of Rod's Food. The fish went nuts!

For trade, I'll have a bulls-eye shroom, a small rasta leather frag, some purple m.digitata and a big wad of cash :D

I'm looking for blastos, acans, and sps.

I will have a few cool Acros that I am bringing there if you guys can get the place dug out before next weekend....

Probably blue tort, BGS, Metallic Green Polyp Acro, Purple with grn polyps (solitariensis?), ORA purple tip stag, ORA Scripps Acro etc

Also a few really sweet and unusual acans, micros, favia, chalices and zoanthids for those so inclined.

I will see if I can get some pics posted.

I'll be bringing acros also and some green and purple digitata and green w/ purple rim, orange and tan w/ blue polyp monti cap.

Yeah, I am all in. I have a purple Suryaba colony that is coloring up nicely along with a purple digi colony that is ready to be fragged. I also have some pink zoos to trade. I have other SPS that can be fragged if there are some good pieces to trade(NewSchool?). Hopefully there will be some SPS to exchannge there since that is what i am into now. Glad to hear I can take the red line down and meet some fellow reefers.

I also have a friend that has a bunch of hammers and frogspawn that is already fragged that I can probably get if there is any intrerst.

What I suggest for anyone that hasn't sold before, is to take color pics of the mother colony & bring them along, as they never look the same in the bags, especially zoas--they're usually closed up.

Puffer I have posted before about the same zoas but they never sold due to lack of pictures. I don't have a camera other than my phone and don't want to take bad pictures of something just to take pictures. This is mainly because I have never really traded or sold so I would rather keep what I have than "sell". Wish I could take accurate pictures but I can't. If you want to lend your photog skills then by all means.....hint hint. What do you suggest those of us do?

Get a cheap throw-away camera & take some pics. No one is gonna buy something, if they have no idea what is's supposed to look like. At least I wouldn't.

A few Qs about displaying corals for this swap:
How are they being set up for display?
Are folks bringing tanks pumps, lights etc or just putting their corals in baggies & hoping we all know what they're supposed to look like?
If folks are bringing tanks, etc, would they have room for folks that are just bringing along a few frags to trade?

More questions: If folks bring tanks for display, will the shop offer salt water?
How about a couple of empty tanks in the shop for displaying corals?

can the noob come?! I'm still on my way to purchase my own tank but i would deff benifit from all the knowledge you guys have!

How you want to display your corals is up to you. You must provide your own saltwater, containers, and towels...please clean up after yourself.

We will provide the tables at no cost. As Jose said before there is limited table space, if you want to reserve a spot contact me. There are currently about 10 spots left. If you would like to bring your own table, just give me a heads up before.

We will also be accepting donations for the beverages provided :) If you want to bring your own, feel free. ( Adam, I want some taste tests haha)

mkahn- you're more than welcome to join!

edit: we will also have nametags to put faces-to-RC logins.
