i totally think something is wrong w/ my G smithii. hes like 2.5 inches long

its been like ten days since he holed himself up in a rock. i think he went in there to molt, but really have no idea.

i figured that due to his small size that the molt would take a couple days, now im approaching 2 weeks.

im really concerned because every single thing in the tank would stay the hell awat from the one specific rock he hides in, reguardless of wheather or not he had his door up.

now hermits, my shrimp and everybody hangs out over there like they've got nothing to worry about.

Doc, what in your experience, would be considered a normal period of time for a G. Smithii to molt?

when should i give up hope? i dont want to disturb him if theres a chance he's still in there.

but i also dont want a rotting mantis shrimp in my tank.

sorry im such a freggin pest, i just need to be constantly reassured.

this sucks:furious:

Ten days is not an unreasonable time for a 7 cm G. smithii to close up. Any thing over two weeks and I would open the door.
