Dracula

You guys recently had in your divers den section a fish I've been wanting for a long time, Stonogobiops dracula. Sadly, I just don't feel comfortable putting him in any of my current tanks but am considering setting up a nano for some zoanthids and a goby shrimp pair. Is the one I missed out on the only one you've ever had come through? If not, any idea if the ones you've had accept prepared foods readily? Lastly, any idea what the typical shrimp pairing would be in nature?

Also, the last order I got from you guys was great, your Duncans are the nicest I've ever seen, and the divers den piece was spot on with the photo. I am however having a heck of a time figuring out which is the Ultra and which is the Gold Maxima. Both of them are nice but neither of them would really qualify as gold. I'll post some pics asking for some help once I get some shots.

Thanks,
Peter

P.S. Angela who I spoke with about the order right after placing it was great to chat with and very helpful. You guys are top notch with customer service every step of the way!

Peter,

Thank you for your post and wonderful comments about our Customer Service. We are also pleased to hear you are happy with your Divers Den order. The acclimation period can make it difficult to determine which clam would be the gold and which is the ultra as the coloration may not be as vibrant right away. If it is possible to email us photos we would be happy to identify each of the clams for you. Please email us at TechSupport@drsfostersmith.com.

The Stonogobiops Dracula was eating frozen vitamin enriched mysis shrimp while at our facility. These specimens are very difficult to find and we receive these only a couple of times a year. They generally pair up with Alpheus randalli however, they may be found with Alpheus bellulus also.

Thanks much for the info Michelle. When you get the Dracula Gobies in those couple times a year is it usually a single individual or multiples?

Peter,

You are very welcome, we are happy to assist you with your questions. The Dracula gobies are received as singles when they are received into stock.
