What are you feeding your fish? Are you buying pods for him? My tank does not produce enough pods to keep a fish like that alive. Some people have had luch with them eating frozen shrimp but the one I had would not eat shrimp. Thanks

My mandarin died some time ago. I had him for about a year. He was in the tank with a fuzzy dwarf lion and when I got a new tank, I had to catch them... the fuzzy got all scared and collided with the mandarin. I assume it was the poison from his spines. I found the mandarin swollen and dead just HOURS after it happened. I was really upset.

He ate pods, I only seeded the tank once or twice... He also ate mysis, bloodworms (even thought the b.worms arent the best for a SW fish, he LOVED them) and anything else I could mix in to trick him.

He was awesome! I really miss him and his little personality. My advice: buy one off a reefer that is breaking down thier tank and has already trained to mandarin to take prepared foods or pellets. Training your mandarin can be very difficult if not impossible.

Awesome pictures. I love the mandarin and the pic of the two hermits.

I was wondering if you need to feed your nudis anything (what do they eat in general)? And how do you prevent them from going into the pumps?
