Drilled Nanos

Are there any nano tanks that come drilled with an overflow? I want one that is drilled, NOT one with a simple HOB overflow as I want ZERO risk of flooding.

I drilled a ten gallon with a dremel, pics of the tank are in the little red house...........

Small tanks do not come drilled. You have to do it yourself or pay a LFS to do it. I drilled my 2.5g, and made the overflow myself.

You cant drill tempered glass. You need a diamond bit (which cost $texas), a quality drill, and know what you are doing. I suggest going to a LFS and asking to watch them drill a tank, it may look easy but its not. If you have no expeirence drilling tanks and just want one drilled just pay a few bucks for a LFS to do it for you.

hey Mr Bojangs, I read the thread I linked below and just drilled a 20L in the back for an external overflow box. I bought the cheap diamond hole saw bits from one of the ebay dealers in Hong Kong. $12 for two and that included shipping. It was cheap and a peice of cake.

read the thread and follow the instructions/comments about keeping the drill bit cool and you'll be all set.

watch out for 10g, that's really thin glass. i've seen much more success with dremels on smaller tanks.

you could also go custom acrylic. i have a 20 with an external overflow and 2 returns.

you can drill a Cadlights tank. Or you can request them to drill it for you for an extra $20 bucks a hole. you can drill it anywhere except the front panel.
