Drilling a glass aquarium

After going to couple of glass shops...I was told that the aquarium, which I am planning to build a fuge, has to be broken apart in order for them to be able to drill in a tiny hole...I was like huh it does not need to be broken apart since it can be drilled in with the drill bits...but I am not sure which drill bits I can use to drill in ? Would the diamond drill bit from home depot/lowes work ?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

if you are planning on drilling a small tank you can just get a diamond bit and do it yourself. I have drilled 4 holes without a problem with my $13 diamond hole cutter off ebay. I used it on a 10 gallon refuge and my 45 gallon display tank.

home depot and lowes dont sell diamond hole bits, I checked a couple of times.
